The Polymer Processing Society (PPS) invites nominations for the 2025 PPS Early Career Award to honor an outstanding young researcher in polymer processing who received a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) not more than 8 years ago from the nomination deadline date. This award aims to recognize and stimulate originality and potential for continuing creativity in the science and technology of polymer processing-related areas. The nominees may include tenured/tenure-track faculty members, post-doctoral researchers, and researchers working in industry or national laboratories. The nominee must be an active member of PPS at the time of nomination. The award consists of a framed certificate and a cash prize of US$2000. The award winner is required to attend the upcoming International Conference of PPS to receive the award and to present a keynote lecture.
The nomination form (click here to download) should be completed in English. The application package must include the following: (a) a nomination letter, (b) a two-page summary of the candidate's key contributions, (c) a curriculum vitae, and (d) copies of the most significant publications, patents, and reports (up to a total of 3 documents). The nomination letter should emphasize the achievements of the nominee and potential for future development as well as service to the Polymer Processing Society or the profession at large. The deadline for submission of complete nomination packages is midnight (GMT) on November 15, 2024. The winner will be announced by January 15, 2025.
